Sycamore and Coppice Parks volunteering

Nottingham City Council are helping to organize community volunteering sessions on Sycamore and Coppice Parks on one Saturday each month from 10am – 12 noon:

23 November – Coppice Park
December – no session
18 January 2014 – Sycamore Park
15 February 2014 – Coppice Park
22 March 2014 – Sycamore Park

Activities include:
– Thinning out bushes, self set sycamores, Clearning brambles & ivy etc
– Spreading bark chippings on paths
– Planting beech and other native species of trees, for diversity.
– Clearing litter with handheld litter pickers

These activities will benefit the health of the trees, community safety and cheering the parks up!

Equipment & safety gloves, Health and Safety guidance will be provided by Park Rangers.

£10 voucher scheme for young people, contributing to 2 sessions of volunteering
