This was the first official project event, so should probably be described as its ‘soft launch’. We had a great spot, right next to the entrance door, which meant that everyone who came to the Fair saw our banners. Our nearest neighbour was the Nottinghamshire Archives stand, which seemed only fitting as many of the documents used during the research phase of this project (2013-14) are held by the Archives.

and even our PowerPoint looped presentation worked well, in spite of the rather bright lighting and bumpy wall.
Despite the really hot weather, the exhibition space was crammed with visitors and there was a really energetic buzz. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.
