The Nottingham Green Spaces Project has now launched 5 Fact Files about different green spaces in Nottingham. The green spaces covered include the Arboretum, the Forest, smaller parks, the walks, and cemeteries. As well as fascinating information about these green spaces, including their origins and uses, key features and facts and figures, the Fact Files include historic images, maps and sources. Each file explores the diverse ways in which Nottingham’s green spaces have been used since the nineteenth century. They provide extensive examples of events and activities linked to the different locations. In addition, each File has a section with suggestions for further reading and information on archival sources. So, if you are interested in finding out more about the green spaces of Nottingham or undertaking some archival research, these will be essential reading.
